In the pulsing heart of corporate America, at the helm of Truviv, Inc., lies a whisper that could unravel everything. Sloane, Ardie, Grace, and Rosalita have navigated the treacherous waters of their workplace, each bound by their own secret ties to their enigmatic boss, Ames. With the sudden death of the company's CEO, Ames is poised for power, a prospect that fills the air with tension and foreboding. These women, united by a shared resolve, find themselves at a crossroads: continue to turn a blind eye, or confront the whispers head-on. Thus begins a daring challenge to the status quo, a test of loyalty, friendship, and the unspoken rules of corporate ascendancy. Chandler Baker's "Whisper Network" is a riveting exploration of ambition, power, and the cost of silence in the modern workplace. As Sloane and her allies peel back layers of deceit, they ignite a chain reaction of events that threatens to consume them all. Baker crafts a world where whispers hold the power to both destroy and liberate, weaving a narrative that is at once a gripping thriller and a poignant commentary on the complexities of gender dynamics in the workplace. Through the lives of its intricately drawn characters, "Whisper Network" challenges readers to listen closely, for amidst the whispers, lies the power to change everything.

This story is a workplace murder mystery that happens in today’s MeToo era. - Reese Witherspoon
We never understood the tendency to underestimate us, we who had been baptized and delivered through pain, who grinned and bore agonies while managing to draw on wing-tipped eyeliner with a surgically steady hand. We plucked our eyebrows, waxed our upper lips, got razor burn on our crotches, held blades to the cups of our armpits. Shoes tore holes in the skin of our heels and crippled the balls of our feet. We endured labor and childbirth and C-sections, during which doctors literally set our intestines on a table next to our bodies while we were awake. We got acid facials. We punctured our foreheads with Botox and filled our lips and our breasts. We pierced our ears and wore pants that were too tight. We got too much sun. We punished our bodies in spin class. All these tiny sacrifices to make us appear more lithe and ladylike—the female of the species. The weaker sex. Secretly, they toughened our hides, sharpened our edges. We were tougher than we looked. The only difference was that now we were finally letting on.
