In "Revolution from Within," Gloria Steinem embarks on a transformative journey that bridges the chasm between internal self-discovery and external political activism. With an insightful narrative, Steinem challenges the notion that societal change can be achieved solely through external reforms, arguing instead for a profound internal awakening of self-esteem as the cornerstone of true liberation. Through a tapestry of personal anecdotes, historical figures, and untold stories of unsung heroes, Steinem crafts a compelling argument that self-awareness and personal empowerment are not just byproducts of the fight for justice but are essential prerequisites for making lasting societal transformations. This groundbreaking work deftly combines Steinem's reflections on her own experiences with those of individuals from diverse backgrounds, offering readers both a mirror and a map. Steinem posits that the quest for external change and the journey toward inner self-acceptance are not separate endeavors but interconnected paths leading to a revolution that begins within. By weaving together the personal and the political, "Revolution from Within" stands as a testament to the indomitable spirit of those who seek to change the world by first changing themselves. It is a revolutionary guide that illuminates the way toward a society where the need for masters fades away in the light of self-empowerment and communal solidarity.

Read [this book] if you haven't. - Jack Dorsey
It still would be years before I understood the seriousness of my change of view. Much later, I recognized it in "Revolution," the essay of Polish journalist Ryszard Kapuscinski, who describes the moment when a man on the edge of a crowd looks back defiantly at a policeman — and when that policeman senses a sudden refusal to accept his defining gaze — as the imperceptible moment in which rebellion is born. "All books about all revolutions begin with a chapter that describes the decay of tottering authority or the misery and sufferings of the people," Kapuscinski writes. "They should begin with a psychological chapter — one that shows how a harassed, terrified man suddenly breaks his terror, stops being afraid. This unusual process — sometimes accomplished in an instant, like a shock — demands to be illustrated. Man gets rid of fear and feel free. Without that, there would be no revolution.
